The Brazilian Association of Autoparts Manufacturers - Sindipeças - is the entity that represents approximately 95% of the autoparts industry in Brazil, comprises national and international companies. All its activities are established and developed in compliance with NBR ISO 9001:2000 quality standards.
The Sindipeças organization is consisted of Vice-Presidents and a Board of Directors, elected by the members, that lead different areas supported by a professional team. The president, who is also elected by direct vote, provides leadership for the entire team and also represents the industry at institutional and political level. Its principal office is located in São Paulo. There are representative offices in the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Bahia and Brasília, the capital of Brazil.

The aim projects and activities
Technology Cooperation Agreements beyond similar entities in all the countries with automotive industry.
Technical support to the Brazilian Government in Commercial agreements with other countries and economic blocks. Coordination of Brazil and Mercosur automotive industry profile study performed by Booz-Aleen & Hamilton Co. Coordination of @utoBench project whereby companies compares the performance to their counterparts with the purpose to detect gaps and reduce costs. Participation in a number of committees organized by related entities to stop the proliferation of counterfeit automotive parts and control contraband of such products. Monitors and advocates the approval of the regulations determining compulsory vehicular inspection. Prepares detailed forecasts on automotive output in Brazil and Argentina for the next five years. Prepares reports containing the main statistical data of the autopart industry. Coordination of a number of committees and work group in order to defend the interests of about 500 companies of different areas. Elaboration of “Apex Project” (for export purposes). Organization of monthly meeting to review conjunctural factors with representatives of the largest companies in this industry, called “The First Tier ”. Organization of fortnightly meeting for market reviews and discussion of other themes that influence the performance of the member companies. Coordinates Sindipeças and Abipeças general executive committee meetings.
